Responsibilities

Scope/Purpose of the Position
The purpose of this position is to help facilitate the back-end process for finalizing loss mitigation options.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Submit final loan modification terms to vendor for modification, partial claim, deed in lieu or short sale document drafting as applicable.
    • Follow up with vendor to ensure documents drafted and submitted to the borrower(s) for execution.
  • Follow up for executed documents from borrower(s) to ensure they are timely executed in house, reviewed for completeness and sent to the vendor for recording
  • Ensure all loss mitigation claims, as applicable are timely filed with the assistance of the claims specialist
  • Ensure that all FHA partial claims/modifications are submitted timely to the investor
  • Request title, follow up on title receipt, review for possible impediments and send notification to borrower
  • Validate data within the prepared loan modifications matches the system of record for accuracy
  • Monitor the steps within the loss mitigation module to ensure timeline compliance
  • Validate that all system changes are completed and the loan reflects the terms of the modification as applicable
  • Update all applicable investor systems
  • Submit requests to corporate for pool buyouts for loan modifications
  • Update the loss mitigation modules as the file progresses
  • Ensure payment reversals and waiver of any applicable fees is completed by the Default Cashier
  • Submit all applicable tasks to servicing departments such as Accounting, Escrow and claims
  • Notify foreclosure team if close and bill is needed
  • Closing of loss mitigation modules when the process is complete

Work Experience and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Typing speed of 60 WPM
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to use and/or learn industry related software specific to HomeBridge and the department
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently to meet business needs
  • Excellent analytic skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within time constraints.
  • Excellent level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Excellent level of oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate across a variety of audiences.
  • Intermediate level of computer skills and the ability to function in a windows environment utilizing Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Professional and effective interpersonal skills. Solid decision making skills with display of professionalism in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to rapidly acquire detailed knowledge of departmental policies, practices and procedures.
  • Strong time management skills, fast learner, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Committed to taking responsibility and ownership for agreed actions and delivery.
  • Reports to work on a daily and timely basis.

Minimum Qualifications

  •  High School Diploma or equivalent
