Responsibilities

Scope/Purpose of the Position

 

This position is responsible for the following:

  • Timely follow up of 3rd party conditions.
  • Reviewing the LO submission and ensure it is complete per policy for submission for initial underwrite
  • Notify/work with LO to resolve any issues prior to submission to underwriting
  • Management of timeline of the loan from application through funding to insure we are setting and meeting expectations
  • Complete a quality file submission to Underwriting, Closing and Post Closing including appropriate stacking order and all quality responsibilities assigned to function
  • Accurate and correct decision of conditions per authority level

  Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions 

  • Manage pipeline to consistent service levels ensuring files are completed within each stage within guidelines set by management
  • Order documentation as required per policy and file
  • Regular follow up for missing items
  • Work with appropriate parties/departments to obtain/provide documentation
  • Escalate problems and conditions to appropriate parties as needed
  • Update current systems accurately & timely
  • Prepare closing document requests
    • Reviewing
    • Final pre-documentation tests
  • Decision conditions within authority
  • Regularly communicating loan status to the Loan Officer, Borrower and branch, as applicable
  • For cancelled, withdrawn or brokered-out loans follow company policy and procedures        

Work Experience and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of mortgage lending process and products
  • Customer service skills
  • Creative problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • PC Skills (MS Office)
  • Analytical and mathematical skills and applications
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening)
  • Attention to detail; multi-tasking skills; excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Negotiating Skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • Three-eight (3-8) years in mortgage industry
  • One (1) year Processing experience
