Responsibilities

Scope/Purpose of the Position:

This job is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services to the Appraisal Department.

 

Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Assist and provide status to broker/lender
  • Update orders in Mercury based on information received from phone calls.
  • Update order with any information for the appraiser per the broker/lender
  • Advise broker/lender of appraisers updates
  • Reach out and follow up with broker/ lender to advise on  documents needed/new due dates/address issues per appraiser
  • Reach out to appraiser for inspection and ETA and advise broker/lender
  • Resume and place orders on hold per broker/lender
  • Send revision updates/requests to revision specialist
  • Send cancellations to order specialist for cancellation and refund
  • Answer incoming phone calls in a friendly and timely manner. Provide excellent customer service by providing status updates to broker/lender, screening/directing calls to appropriate parties, and assisting with any issues brokers/lenders may have.
  • Follow up with appraisers on orders without inspection scheduled within 24 hours via voice message, email, message through the order
  • Follow up on all Past Due orders.
  • Follow up on all orders without inspection scheduled after 24 hours of being accepted.
  • Update order with appraisers response
  • Update broker/lender with appraisers response
  • Follow up with appraisers on orders not completed within 72 hours of  inspection completed via voice message, email, message through the order
  • Update broker/lender with appraisers response

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent analytic skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within time constraints.
  • Excellent level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Excellent level of oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate across a variety of audiences.
  • Intermediate level of computer skills and the ability to function in a windows environment utilizing Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Professional and effective interpersonal skills. Solid decision making skills with display of professionalism in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to rapidly acquire detailed knowledge of departmental policies, practices and procedures.
  • Strong time management skills, fast learner, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Committed to taking responsibility and ownership for agreed actions and delivery.
  • Reports to work on a daily and timely basis.
  • Ability to work late shift (11:30am – 8pm).

Minimum Qualifications or Training:

  • Zero to one year experience in functions described for this position.
  • One year experience in the mortgage industry.
