Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Represents the company in a professional and enthusiastic manner: by providing an exceptional level of customer service, supporting the mission statement, and adhering to our core values in all functions of their job responsibilities and interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Reviews files for completeness to ensure set standards for completeness, accuracy and compliance are met.
  • Ensures the compliance of all federal, state and investor requirements per HomeBridge Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsible for reviewing signed loan documents for compliance.
  • Ensures all data noted in loan origination system is consistent with documentation contained in the loan file in the imaging system.
  • Verifies that all requirements of HomeBridge policies and procedures, as they pertain to funding, have been met.
  • Properly conditions loan file in accordance with HomeBridge requirements, as applicable to the individual loan.
  • Communicates outstanding funding conditions to all parties.
  • Reviews and signs off on all funding conditions, once satisfied.
  • Proactively monitors all files assigned to ensure conditions are reviewed in timely manner and funding occurs in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates required exception requests with management.
  • Runs all state/federal high cost tests in compliance validation system, as needed.
  • Pulls MERS check prior to funding.
  • Request wire in loan origination system, when file is complete.
  • Completes status updates in the loan origination system and imaging platform.
  • Prepares Bank Package for funding and uploads for Wire Desk.
  • Communicates proactively with all internal operational and sales staff on status and inquiries.
  • Communicates proactively with external Broker customers on status and inquiries.
  • Responsible for adhering to the targeted turn-time requirements. Proactively communicates with management in the event turn-time expectations cannot be met.
  • Assists management, Quality Control and Post-Closing as necessary in obtaining missing documentation needed in order to render a loan saleable in the secondary market.
  • Reports to work on a daily and timely basis and complies with all requirements of the Human Resource policy manual.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize workload, meet deadlines and handle detailed assignments.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Excellent level of interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
  • Ability to rapidly acquire detailed knowledge of departmental policies, practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment, while maintaining the highest level of customer service, professional composure, and integrity.
  • Working knowledge of RESPA, MDIA, Reg Z, QM and related compliance guidelines, along with the ability to detect and rectify deficiencies and/or non-compliance on specific loans.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Conventional, FHA and VA Closing requirements.
  • Ability to cross-train, as business needs require.
